Diane von Furstenberg (DVF) and Zalando have announced a key partnership for the German e-tail giant to become DVF’s exclusive retailer in Europe.
Zalando’s “digital innovation and contemporary storytelling will be leveraged to introduce DVF to a new generation of fashion enthusiasts,” we’re told.
And it all kicks off quickly with a dedicated consumer-facing marketing campaign launching on Zalando in March set to “celebrate the partnership”.
The label has been part of Zalando’s portfolio of Designer brands since 2018, joining from the early days of Zalando’s designer strategy.
Now the new “long-term relationship” makes Zalando the sole retail partner for DVF in Europe with the broad selection of DVF designs, including its famous wrap dress, to be exclusively available on Zalando in all of its 25 markets.
The only other access to DVF in Europe will be via its own webstore and DVF’s Brussels boutique.
The companies said they have a “shared vision of empowering customers and inspiring them to feel confident in their personal style”.
For DVF, as mentioned, it means it will be able to “reach a new generation of fashion enthusiasts and reintroduce them to the brand’s iconic styles”.
“Zalando shares our vision to empower women and offer them quality clothes that make them feel confident,” said brand founder Diane von Furstenberg.
And DVF CEO Graziano De Boni called Zalando “the ideal destination for DVF in Europe. It fits our DTC-focused global strategy of exclusive major retail distribution partnerships around the world”.
