Police were sent videos showing 676 examples of bad driving across Devon and Cornwall in one month, a force spokesperson has said.
The footage was submitted to road safety initiative Operation Snap in May, includes near misses on several roads, and a van driving on a busy pavement.
The operation is designed to identify dangerous and unlawful driving through video footage submitted by members of the public.
Adrian Leisk, Devon & Cornwall Police’s Head of Road Safety, said: “We really hope Operation Snap acts as a deterrent to this minority who think that they won’t be detected driving in an appalling manner.”
Other clips captured show a lorry swerving over motorway lanes, vehicles passing cyclists too closely and one driver jumping a red light.
The most recent figures show there were 150 more clips submitted than in May 2023.
Many of the drivers featured were handed penalty points, and issued fines.
Mr Leisk stressed the vast majority of road users in Devon & Cornwall were safe, respectful and considerate – but said a small minority continue to pose significant risks to others.
“We are so grateful to the hundreds of road users who submit footage every month, enabling us to hold this incredibly poor driving to account,” he said.
“You are literally saving lives in doing so.”
Operation Snap accepts video clips from virtually any device such as mobile phones and video doorbells, along with motorcycle, bicycle and helmet cameras.
