Crew Clothing Company has a strong and varied sporting heritage so it’s no surprise the British lifestyle label has expanded its group of related ambassadors. The latest is one of Britain’s leading tennis players, Jodie Burrage (ranked 84 globally).
She’s signed on as a Crew Clothing ambassador and will wear Crew off-court, “as she travels the world and relaxes in between tournaments”.
The retailer said choosing the five-times ITF singles title holder “is a natural collaboration that reflects both Crew and Jodie’s shared enthusiasm for tennis, the coast, and representing the best of British sport”.
She joins three-times Wimbledon Doubles Champion Neal Skupskiin in the ambassadorial line-up.
Naomi Parry, Head of Marketing for Crew Clothing said; “[Jodie’s] a fantastic athlete. She’s one to watch, but not only that – she’s… very much aligned with our values.”
Last year, Crew said sports sponsorship and associations were a “significant driver” for the business so it appointed global sports, entertainment and culture agency Octagon to support its large and growing sponsorship portfolio.
Over several years, it has been investing in its sports partnerships, hosting pop-ups at events, launching exclusive content on its website and creating new collections. This included a Williams Racing F1 licensed collection, a bespoke occasionwear package for Henley Royal Regatta and a technical golf range to enhance its sponsorship of the Legends Tour.
