Crew Clothing has continued to expand this year with a new store and a new ambassador signing, but looking at its results for 2023 we can see that this year’s expansion comes on top of strong growth last year too.
The firm has filed its results at Companies house and they highlight an ongoing upward trajectory for the business.
The company said turnover in the 53 weeks to the end of December 2023 rose to £117.164 million. that was up on the £101.315 million of the previous fiscal period. If we look at it as a direct 52-week comparison, the latest revenue was up 13% year on year.
And the company said it saw significant growth across all channels with e-commerce rising 18%, physical stores rising 5% and third-party and wholesale up 28%.
Adjusted EBITDA this time was £18.2 million, or £17 million for the 52 weeks, up 26% on the £13.5 million a year earlier.
It added that profit for the year after corporation tax rose to £12.2 million from £9.6 million.
The company said it remains “committed to growth across all areas of the business. During the period of results, it has invested in key areas of expansion including developing online presence and optimisation of the bricks-and-mortar estate”.
Earlier this year it opened a store in Canterbury within the Whitefriars shopping centre and only this month it expanded its group of ambassadors, signing one of Britain’s leading tennis players, Jodie Burrage.
