Consortium Brand Partners announced on Wednesday the acquisition of home décor, furniture, and lifestyle company, Jonathan Adler.
The transaction, completed in partnership with American Exchange Group, closed on December 23, 2024.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jonathan Adler to the CBP family,” said Jonathan Greller, president and co-founder of Consortium Brand Partners. “Jonathan Adler’s exceptional talent and vision have made the brand a beloved leader in home design for decades. This acquisition not only expands our offerings in the home décor space but also enhances our ability to create compelling and timeless brand experiences that resonate with consumers across multiple lifestyle categories in a fun and beautiful way.”
The acquisition marks CBP’s third major investment in 18 months, following its strategic partnerships with Draper James and Outdoor Voices.
President and CEO of American Exchange Group, Alen Mamrout, added, “Partnering with CBP on this acquisition allows us to combine our expertise in manufacturing and distribution with their strength in strategic investments and brand-building. Together, we are committed to elevating the Jonathan Adler brand to even greater heights, expanding its global reach and product offerings.”
Founded three decades ago by designer Jonathan Adler, the brand is synonymous with “modern American glamour,” offering sophisticated yet playful designs across furniture, lighting, decorative accessories, and large-scale residential and hospitality projects.
As part of the acquisition, Jonathan Adler will maintain its retail presence in the U.S. and U.K. and is set to expand its brick-and-mortar footprint while exploring new international wholesale opportunities. Under Adler’s continued leadership as founder and chief creative officer, the brand will further diversify its offerings and tap into new categories.
“I am truly excited to partner with the Consortium and American Exchange Group teams and build the brand to new heights. Their fantastic reputations and expertise will enable us to grow globally, entering exciting new categories and broader channels of distribution,” said Adler.
