We are seeking someone with vision, passion, and enthusiasm for delivering stellar wellbeing outcomes, especially for older people. The person will provide strategic leadership and inspire staff, trustees, funders, and other stakeholders to achieve our ambitious goals.

About Us

Claremont is a community passionate about the arts and personal and community development. We have been a nationally progressive pioneer in our approach to services and we were the UK’s first Wellbeing Centre, long before the term was ubiquitous. About the Role

As the Job Description indicates, the role, which reports to our Board of Trustees, covers a wide range of responsibilities, including:

The ideal candidate will have experience and competence in all or as many as possible of these areas, as well as having a certain “Claremontiness” – aspirational and personal qualities which embody a genuine relational approach to life.

Job Responsibilities

The role involves leading Claremont in achieving its charitable aims, articulating and executing its vision, and inspiring stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing financial, operational, legal, and safeguarding systems; fundraising and income generation; overseeing governance, compliance, and Board relations; maintaining financial systems and ensuring accurate accounts; managing the building and income-generating leases; representing Claremont externally; leading and developing the staff and volunteer team; and acting as Clinical Director for psychotherapy services. The postholder fosters partnerships, oversees IT and outcome measures, engages with the community, and resolves complaints with professionalism and kindness.
