Chanel has appointed Simona Cattaneo as president of its Perfumes and Beauty division. Simona Cattaneo, who was previously managing director of Italian luxury shoemaker Tod’s, will join the Rue Cambon fashion house on October 21 to begin her integration alongside Anne Kirby, who is due to retire at the end of the year. She will then take up her new position on January 1, 2025.
Simona Cattaneo began her career at L’Oréal in 1994. At the global beauty giant, she spent over thirteen years developing her expertise in brand and product management as international general manager.
From 2008 to 2012, Simona Cattaneo was in charge of strategic development for the make-up business at Parfums Christian Dior.
In 2012, she was appointed senior vice president of Burberry‘s beauty division, before joining Coty in 2016. She joined the American cosmetics group as marketing director, later becoming president of its luxury brands business. Under her leadership, Coty has expanded its portfolio, including the integration of Kylie Jenner’s beauty business, Kylie Cosmetics, and finalising the acquisition of a stake in Kim Kardashian‘s KKW Beauty.
