Roberto Cavalli is the latest big name to launch an exclusive pop-up store in the Selfridges London flagship. It’s open until 18 August and offers pieces from the Roberto Cavalli by Fausto Puglisi Fall 2024 pre-collection.
Covering 70 sq m, it’s “designed to offer an immersive shopping experience”. It includes two bandana print walls with a ‘cushion’ effect, “adding a touch of visual intrigue”. There are two pairs of matte golden hanging racks, three display tables, and five mannequins presenting looks from the collection.
We’re told that the particular selection for Selfridges features a “bold Spaghetti Western theme with Americana influences, including bandana prints mixed with various denim styles. It blends cultural references into a cohesive, stylish wardrobe, embodying a carefree, confident attitude and reimagining the signature Roberto Cavalli heritage for today’s powerful and fearless women”.
As well as ready-to-wear collection, there’s a range of handbags, including the Roar Bag in white, black, and green.
Interestingly, the pop-up also includes five Roberto Cavalli archive pieces displayed in dedicated cases and available to order. The company said the archive selection, including four pairs of denim trousers and a skirt, “guides customers through a dialogue between past and present, highlighting the continuous evolution of the brand’s legacy. The items [provide] customers with a unique connection to the brand’s heritage”.
Thos archive items include cropped, embroidered and sequinned denim pants from the SS01 collection; a pair of stretch denim flares for SS00 with a low waist and a sequinned zebra pattern; a long denim skirt from SS01 that was transformed from denim pants with a raw edge waist and fireworks embellishment; another pair of flared stretch denim pants from SS00 with a hand-printed mini zebra design in gold glitter; and an early 2000s pair of embroidered stretch denim pants.
