Cart.com, a provider of unified commerce and logistics software and services, has announced the appointment of Ilias Simpson to the role of president.
Simpson, who previously served as president and CEO at Radial, brings nearly two decades of logistics leadership experience to his new role and will guide the U.S. company’s next phase of growth as it expands its omnichannel fulfillment network to support new industries and markets.
“I am thrilled to join Cart.com at such a pivotal time in the company’s growth story,” said Simpson. “I believe Cart.com has a unique position and opportunity in the market, and I look forward to serving alongside this talented team to build a culture that is fun, inclusive and committed to delivering outstanding value to our partners and customers.”
Prior to Radial, Simpson served as president of Modivcare Mobility, the medical transportation segment of publicly traded medical services company Motivcare. Before that, he was previously CEO of Bpostgroup’s Parcels & Logistics North America division, after serving in several leadership roles at Ryder System, Pentair, Cintas and Halliburton.
“Ilias is an exceptional leader with a proven track record of delivering transformative growth at some of the largest multinational companies in our industry,” said Cart.com founder and CEO, Omair Tariq. “I believe his expertise in driving operational excellence, profitable growth and a strong company culture will be critical to Cart.com’s success as we continue to scale.”
Founded in late 2020, Cart.com is among the fastest-growing commerce and logistics enablement leaders, with nearly 6,000 brands on its platform. The company offers brands a complete suite of tech-enabled logistics capabilities and enterprise-grade order, warehouse and channel management software alongside expert services to simplify commerce for middle-market and enterprise companies as well as public sector agencies.
Today, it supports tens of millions of orders per year, operating over a dozen omnichannel fulfillment centers nationwide.
