Bob Howard, 67, from Redland in Bristol was due to arrive into Bristol Airport at 19:30 GMT.
But because of the snow, his flight from Barcelona was diverted to Birmingham and he was left waiting on the plane for more than two hours after it landed.
“The pilot had a word with us before we took off saying he’s
taken on extra fuel because of snow in Bristol,” he told the BBC.
“We circled for a good 45 minutes and because they couldn’t land
in Bristol, we arrived in Birmingham about two hours and 25 minutes ago.
“There’s poor parents with crying babies on the plane and we
have a disabled passenger.”
Mr Howard, an IT systems manager, says coaches have been arranged to Bristol.
“We were supposed to get off the plane at about half past seven, but we’re going to be back much later.
“The roads aren’t going to be great either.”
