Fashion giant Mango’s UK expansion drive has been added to with its previously flagged opening at the Braehead Shopping Centre in Renfrew, Scotland.
The 500 sq m unit becomes the city’s largest store, “reflecting the brand’s strategic commitment to the Scottish market”.
It’s also part of the Spanish retailer’s ambitious UK expansion plans, which includes opening over 20 stores in 2024.
As with the sequence of store openings, it features the brand’s ‘New Med’ concept, “inspired by the warmth and allure of the Mediterranean”.
Key to the store’s design is “sustainability and architectural integration” while the overall looks represents a Mediterranean home… “dominated by warm tones and neutral colours, combined with traditional, handcrafted, sustainable and natural materials”.
Ashley Bisland, Centre Director at Braehead Shopping Centre commented: “Mango is a significant addition to [the] Centre. The opening highlights our ongoing strategy to diversify and enrich our retail portfolio, ensuring that we continue to meet and exceed the evolving expectations of our shoppers.
“Mango’s decision to establish its largest store in our city at Braehead, highlights the strength and appeal of our centre as a key retail hub in Scotland.”
Most recent Mango UK openings included a 440 sq m concept store at Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex, and a 6,233 sq ft unit at Gateshead Metrocentre. There were also debuts made in both Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland.
