Though Black Friday only falls at the end of November this year, some retailers have already started releasing deals.
Here are some of the best we’ve spotted so far…

* Average price in the past six months: £809. Cheapest price in the past six months: £499
We like: Streamlined and fast user experience
We don’t like: Battery could be better
Google’s most advanced phone from 2023 is the cheapest we’ve ever seen it in the early Back Friday deals.
It has a variety of camera lenses for high-resolution shots and it’s the only phone in the Pixel 8 series to get Google Gemini Nano. This is Google’s AI model for smartphones designed to help simplify and speed up day-to-day tasks.
It has other fancy features too, such as a sensor that lets you scan an object to measure its temperature. Google claims you can use this to check if your pan is hot enough to start cooking, for example.
Buy it directly from Google for £499 or compare to our favourite retailers below.

* Average price in the past six months: £338. Cheapest price in the past six months: £224
We like: Good specs for a Chromebook
We don’t like: Touchpad on the small side
If you have a really tight budget, you’ll find that lots of the cheapest laptops you’ll see are Chromebooks. Chromebooks run ChromeOS, Google’s rival operating system to Windows and MacOS. This has an online focus and you do all your tasks online through your browser or apps you’ve downloaded from the Google Play store, such as Google Docs or Microsoft 365. However, Windows and Mac software aren’t compatible with ChromeOS – so think about this and whether a Chromebook will work for your needs before you buy.
This Lenovo model looks good on paper. Chromebooks are less resource-intensive than Windows or Mac, so a Core i3 processor, in theory, can go a long way. it offers one USB-C port (also used for power) and two full-sized USB-A ports, one HDMI output and a headphone/microphone connector.
Find out if our experts think this laptop is worth buying in our IdeaPad Slim 3i 14-inch Chromebook Plus review.

* Average price in the past six months: £282. Cheapest price in the past six months: £199
We like Quick to charge
We don’t like Inferior speaker quality in our tests
It might only be five months old, but this mid-range Lenovo tablet has already had a third of its price taken off. The built-in kickstand makes it bulkier than other tablets, but it comes in handy if you want to keep it upright. It comes with the latest Android 14 software and promises of upgrades to Android 16, as well as four years of security updates.
The display isn’t as premium as more expensive devices, but it’s not often you find a tablet with an 11.5-inch display at this price.
Find out if it ticks the boxes that matter to you in our Lenovo Tab Plus review.

We like: It’s a decent speed
We don’t like: The price may change
This is a particularly attractive fibre broadband deal given the 75Mbps average speed.
Keep in mind that Now Broadband occasionally implements ad-hoc price increases (social tariffs excluded).

* Average price in the past six months: £963. Cheapest price in the past six months: £869
We like: It’s easy to use
We don’t like: Lacks some accessibility settings
This high-end TV has plenty of gaming features and other nice-to-haves. There’s a microphone in the remote, so you can use Alexa, Google Assistant or LG’s own ThinQ voice assistant to control many aspects of the TV.
It has a 100/120Hz screen, plus you get a built-in twin-tuner PVR, so you can record from two channels at once and watch TV on another channel while recording.
You need to connect a USB hard drive to take advantage of this feature, though.

* Average price in the past six months: £587.89. Cheapest price in the past six months: £479.94.
We like: The long runtime
We don’t like: It’s hard work to push on carpets
This model comes packed with innovative features including a ‘Slim Fluffy’ soft roller floorhead, which has a green laser diode to illuminate the hidden dust in your home, and dust sensors that record how much dust you suck up (and categorise it by size into a colourful bar chart on the digital display).
Two other floorheads – the ‘High Torque’ cleaner head and mini turbo tool, feature anti-tangle technology – designed to prevent the brush bars from clogging with hair.
To find out how well it performed, read the full Dyson V15 Detect Absolute review.
JC Campbell currently has it on sale for £480, and it’s available direct from Dyson for £499, but compare this with offers from other retailers.

* Average price in the past six months: £366. Cheapest price in the past six months: £299
We like: It has a cold water dispenser and reversible doors
We don’t like: The vegetable drawer dried contents out in our tests, so eat sensitive, moisture-loving fruit or veg promptly
This white Fridgemaster was already cheaper than the average fridge freezer, and now it’s even cheaper. It’s not quite the cheapest it’s ever been (£299), but it’s typically £50 more expensive than it is at present. So now is a good time to buy.
It has a dispenser for chilled water that doesn’t need to be plumbed in, and a reasonable capacity of 10 supermarket shopping bags.
It’s a fairly basic model, as you’d expect from the low price, so there’s no fast freeze or fast chill functions or open door alarm.

We like: It’s easy to use
We don’t like: It’s awkward to clean
This dual-zone air fryer from Philips comes with two removable drawers to accommodate your food, one larger than the other.
The digital display allows you to switch between eight auto programs, to help take the guesswork out of dinner.
You can use the two cooking zones separately, or you can use the Copy function to set the same cooking time and temperature for both.

* Average price in the past six months: £320.73. Cheapest price in the last six months: £269
We like: Various foam and water settings
We don’t like: All parts require handwashing
This compact coffee machine from DeLonghi uses ground coffee only. It comes with a few accessories including a tamper, built-in steam wand, milk jug, coffee dosage spoon and cleaning tools. There’s a space in the lid of the machine designed to store these.
There’s no display on this model – you select the type of coffee you want by pressing buttons at the top of the machine. You can choose from three different temperatures to froth your milk, as well as customise the milk froth consistency from dense, fine or microfoam for latte art.

We like: It comes with a 200-night trial and a 10-year warranty
We don’t like: Removing the topper can be fiddly
This top-of-the-range Eve mattress is currently 60% off. The Ultimate hybrid is one of the first Eve mattresses which contains natural latex, combined with a large pocket sprung core and layers of foam.
Can’t decide if you want a soft or a firm mattress? Eve’s latest Wunderflip mattresses have removable toppers zipped onto the main mattress. One side is firmer than the other, so if you want a firm bed just zip the topper onto that side and hey presto!
For this mattress, we assessed the firmer side as 8.9 firmness, on a scale where one is the firmest and 10 the softest. If you sleep on your side, you’ll need to use the softer side.

An LG washing machine with a very generous capacity, this model can hold 10kg of cottons. It has 12 different wash programs to choose from, including a 40-minute TurboWash that can tackle a 5kg half-load.
It also has a spin speed of 1,400rpm, an energy rating of A, and a handy AddWash feature that allows you to add in extra items once the program has started.

We like: Large capacity
We don’t like: Relatively heavy
A great option for larger laundry loads, this heated airer is about the size of a small display cabinet when fully opened. The cord measures 132cm, and it can hold around 36 medium t-shirts.
As part of our hands-on testing, we’ve rated this clothes airer on its drying speed. Our experts have also determined the amount of money it costs to run per hour. It’s worth noting that the price of this heated airer has been steadily rising over the years, however, it’s at the cheapest it’s been in the past six months.

We like: Has a range of cleaning modes
We don’t like: Can be fiddly to change the brush head
The Ordo Sonic + has four modes (clean, white, massage, sensitive) that are selected through the menu displayed on the brush below the power button. It’s comfortable to use and can be charged with a USB cable.
It’s currently in the Black Friday sales at Boots and a few other retailers – we haven’t seen it much cheaper than this in the past six months.

The Braun Series 8 electric shaver comes with some handy extra features, such as a countdown timer in minutes when the battery starts to fade. It’s easy to use and comes with a brush to make cleaning it easier.
Now is a good time to pick up a bargain on this electric shaver. The price is pretty much as low as we’ve seen it go in the past six months.

* Average price in the past six months: £391.76. Cheapest price in the past six months: £329
We like: Luxurious feel, extensive smart features
We don’t like: Substandard speaker
On the side of this Google smartwatch, you’ll spot a bezel and button for navigating it when not using the touchscreen. It’s only compatible with Android phones and can’t be connected to an Apple iPhone.
The Pixel Watch comes with a silicone strap, which is the one we tested. With 5 ATM water resistance, it can be used in shallow water, but it’s worth knowing that the resistance can depreciate over time. You can buy a fabric or leather strap separately, but these aren’t water resistant.

You can buy pretty much anything in the Black Friday sales. These are just a few of the best deals we spotted last year:
The Black Friday sales seem to start earlier and earlier each year, with many retailers discounting products throughout November.
This year, Black Friday falls even later than it did in 2024 (Black Friday 2024 is on 29 November and Cyber Monday is on 2 December). So this year, we’re expecting retailers to kick off their early deals on 1 November.

Get ahead on the Black Friday deals with our top shopping tips and advice on your consumer rights.
As well as finding you the best deals this Black Friday, we’ve also put together a list of the best and worst shops.
We’ve quizzed thousands of Which? members on their experiences of shopping in some of the country’s best-known stores and websites, as well as their experience buying lesser-known brands.
After crunching the numbers, we can reveal which retailers score highly on product quality, range and value for money.
To see which retailers impressed in our shopping survey, head over to our extensive guide on the best and worst shops.
Some retailers use underhand tactics to pressure you into making a purchase.
These include anchor pricing (when products are on sale more often than they aren’t), pressure selling (’30 people are viewing this right now!’) and dubious claims about the ‘before’ price of a product.
If you’re unsure how good a deal is, use a tool such as PriceRunner to compare prices across retailers.
The way in which Black Friday deals are presented differs quite significantly between shops, and learning to decode the language of deals can help you understand more about the savings you may (or may not) be getting.
Ellie Simmonds, Which? senior researcher says:

It’s always a good idea to read reviews before you buy a product, but bear in mind not all reviews are trustworthy, as some sellers incentivise people to post fake positive reviews to drown out genuine negative ones.
If you’re in any doubt, check out our expert guide on how to spot a fake review.
Whether you bought a product in-store or online, you still have rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
The regulations give you a 14-day window to return a non-faulty product, which begins on the day you receive your goods. Many retailers will give you longer than this, but it is always best to check before you buy.
