Balmain‘s new management team is taking shape. Following the arrival in May of new CEO Matteo Sgarbossa, recruited from Givenchy to take over from Jean-Jacques Guével, the luxury label owned by the Qatari fund Mayhoola has announced the appointment of its new Chief Marketing Manager, Bruna Scognamiglio, who joins from Ferragamo.
“As CMO of Balmain, Bruna Scognamiglio will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the brand’s global marketing strategies, image direction and communications to drive Balmain’s ambitions for the future,” the Parisian fashion house said in a statement.
The Italian manager, who has over twenty years’ experience in traditional and digital marketing in the fashion and luxury sectors, will take up her post on 9 September and will report directly to Matteo Sgarbossa. She succeeds Txampi Diz, who left the company in March to join Casablanca.
Bruna Scognamiglio began her career at Procter & Gamble, where for nearly fifteen years she held a number of positions, following beauty communications for various luxury labels and regions. In 2017, she joined American beauty giant Coty as vice president global PR & influencer marketing for Gucci.
After a spell at Tod’s, she joined Ferragamo, where she worked for five years in a variety of roles, culminating as Global Brand and Marketing Director.
