There are multiple GB athletes taking part in Diamond League events at the meet in Rome.
The most notable name in action on the women’s side is Daryll Neita who will be coming up against fellow Brit Amy Hunt in the Women’s 200m event. Neita will be looking to build on her success at Paris 2024, where she won a silver medal in the 4x100m women’s relay.
On the men’s side, GB’s Jeremiah Azu will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of Paris 2024 after being disqualified from his 100m heat for a false start. Despite that disappointment, Azu would go on to win the bronze medal in the men’s 4x100m relay.
Azu faces strong competition in Rome in the Men’s 100m event, coming up against Botswana’s Paris 2024 200m gold medalist Letsile Tebogo. Azu will also be coming up against the American trio of Christian Coleman, Fred Kerley and Kyree King.
