We’re only in the second week of Married at First Sight UK, and it appears we may already have the first breakup of the season, so are Richelle and Orson still together?
Married at First Sight UK is in its ninth season and sees a panel of experts pair up singles who are looking to tie the knot. However, the catch is the couples don’t end up meeting until their wedding day when they’re heading down the aisle. After saying their “I dos” they then embark on a honeymoon, move in together, before deciding if they want to stay together in the final vow ceremony at the end of the experiment.
Richelle and Orson were the last couple to get married on this series of MAFS UK, but they might already be over, if the most recent episode (24th September) is anything to go by. So where are they now? Here’s what we know.
Richelle, 48, and Orson, 41, were the last couple to tie the knot on the most recent series of Married at First Sight UK.
Having previously been cheated on in a relationship, Orson has kept his cards close to his chest when it comes to romantic partnerships, but entered the experiment with the hope to change this and find a long term partner. Richelle is at the top of her career, and now that her daughter has left home, she’s ready to find her partner, however as she said she doesn’t like the rules or doing things she’s unhappy with.
Their wedding day started off well, with the pair bonding over both coming from the Caribbean. However, things started to go down hill during the wedding photos when Richelle proceeded to ask Orson a lot of questions, which he found overwhelming.
They then headed on their honeymoon, and while Orson was feeling Richelle, the feelings weren’t exactly mutual. Orson then opened up about being cheated on in a past relationship and how this still impacts him today. Richelle questioned this and asked why he wasn’t over it if it happened five years ago.
Orson then revealed he was starting to get the “feels” for Richelle, which caused her to doubt the relationship as she struggled to understand why his feelings had developed when they hardly knew each other. After Orson told her he also does acting and modelling, it made Richelle question if he was being his true self or whether he was acting.
They then spent a day apart, before reuniting for a drink at which point Richelle became overwhelmed again and left the room.
In the teaser for tonight’s episode (25th September) Orson turns up solo to the first group dinner party, shocking the rest of the group. So is it over for these two? Well it’s not looking good.
They don’t follow each other on Instagram and if Richelle hasn’t turned up for the dinner party, we’re not expecting this relationship to flourish. We’ll be tuning in at 9pm tonight to find out for sure.
