Former NBA basketball player Shaquille O’Neal was seen browsing at DFS Wednesbury last Thursday (December 5).
The 7 feet 1 professional athlete is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, having been four-time NBA champion over his 19-year NBA career.
Store bosses have remained tight-lipped about what brought the star, currently a sports analyst on TV programme Inside the NBA, to the Black Country – joking that he was looking for the perfect sofa!
DFS Wednesbury store manager, Matthew Fereday, said: “It was a privilege to welcome Shaquille O’Neal to our store. With our wide range of offerings at DFS, we’re confident he found something just right.”
Staff familiar with American sports were reportedly “very excited” to see the legendary O’Neal who it’s understood has been collaborating with DFS on a campaign – details of which are expected to be revealed in February.
