DUBLIN – After the thrilling final-ball win against England Women in the third ODI at Belfast, the two sides move quickly to Clontarf for the two-match Certa Women’s International T20I Series.
Gaby Lewis remains captain of the side in the continued absence of permanent captain, Laura Delany due to injury.
About the third ODI, Lewis said:
“The one thing about this team is that we always bounce back and I think that shows a lot of character within the group. We’re obviously hugely disappointed with our first two performances, but to turn that around and come out with a win – we’re delighted and really looking forward to the T20Is.
“Any home T20I series is very exciting, and especially so against top-quality nations. We rarely get England here, so we’re ready to go and I think leading into the T20Is with the win we’re kind of building that positivity amongst the squad.”
