Sportswear giant Adidas will launch its ‘The Pulse’ retail concept in the UK this summer. The first two stores are set to open at British Land-operated retail parks, in Edinburgh on Friday (28 June), followed by Glasgow later in the summer.
The 11,000 sq ft Edinburgh store opens at Fort Kinnaird while the second is a 8,600 sq ft location at Glasgow Fort.
Heralded as a “premium store concept for value-seeking consumers”, the venture was first introduced in Canada in May 2023 and the concept continues into Scotland “offering modular display fixtures and both full-service and self-service areas”.
Ross McCall, retail leasing and commercialisation director at British Land said: “We’ve got a strong track record of attracting the biggest retail brands at Fort Kinnaird and Glasgow Fort, and Adidas is another huge name to add to our offering across both sites. It’s yet another example of retailers offering unique experiences to engage even more consumers.”
McCall added: “This is another clear indication that the biggest brands are looking to expand their physical footprint, and retail parks are an important part of this.
“We’re confident that it will help us increase footfall following a successful 2023, and we’ll continue to evolve and improve our offering with even more new fascias, innovative experiences and services for our customers.”
