Uniqlo has offered up some truly excellent collaborations over the years, joining forces with the likes of JW Anderson, Jil Sander, Marni and Clare Waight Keller to create fashion-forward twists on their much-loved everyday basics. One of the Japanese brand’s most hotly anticipated of all time, however, was undoubtedly its capsule collection with Anya Hindmarch.
Released just over a year ago, the Anya Hindmarch x Uniqlo collab saw the brand’s knitwear classics given a playful twist courtesy of the iconic British designer – and sell out in record time. Think brightly coloured woollen jumpers, butter-soft cashmere turtlenecks and chunky scarves and hats, all embroidered with Anya’s signature googly eyes for an added burst of joy. Still today, said pieces are hot property on resale sites and sell for significantly more than their original RRP, while also remaining a proud winter wardrobe staple for those fortunate (read: fast) enough to have copped them the first time around.
