A man died after falling from a balcony at the busy Birmingham Bullring shopping centre on Moor Street.
The incident happened on Friday, December 13, and prompted the temporary closure of the shopping centre.
Emergency services rushed to the scene in Birmingham after being called following reports of a man falling from an upper level at around 9pm, as the building was due to close for the night.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His death isn’t being treated as suspicious, West Midlands Police said.
The force added the case would be passed to the city’s coroner.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police told BirminghamLive: “We were called at 9.04pm on Friday (December 13) after a man fell from the upper level of the Bullring. The man sadly died at the scene.
“His next-of-kin have been informed and his death is not being treated as suspicious.”
This comes days after a blaze broke out on the fourth floor of Selfridges’ Moor Street car park, near the shopping centre.
The fire started in a car and ripped through two vehicles, West Midlands Fire Service said on Monday, December 9.
The blaze, which erupted around 10.20am, was extinguished by around 10.50am.
