LEXINGTON — Kentucky basketball and Colgate have no history to speak of.
So the programs will make it at Rupp Arena tonight, when the Wildcats and Raiders meet for the first time.
It’s already been a stellar start to the Mark Pope era for UK, which is 8-1 this season. And Kentucky is No. 5 in both the USA TODAY coaches and Associated Press polls.
Colgate is at the other end of the spectrum.
The Raiders are 2-8 in 2024-25. They’ve lost four in a row entering tonight’s game. And they’ve dropped three outings this season by 20 or more points.
While UK hasn’t faced Colgate, it’s already dispatched another Patriot League club this season. Kentucky battered Bucknell, 100-72, last month in Lexington.
UK will be a heavy favorite again tonight.
Will the Wildcats take care of business to pick up their ninth win in 10 games?
Here’s what you need to know to follow today’s game from home:
UK and Colgate are slated to tip off at 8 p.m. today at Rupp Arena.
Betting odds: Kentucky is a 30 ½-point home favorite (-110) on BetMGM, which set the over/under at 157 ½ points (-115).
The contest between the Wildcats and Raiders will air on ESPN2. Tom Hart (play-by-play) and Dane Bradshaw (analyst) will have the call.
Authenticated subscribers can access ESPN2 via TV-connected devices or by going to WatchESPN.com, the WatchESPN app or ESPN+.
