The chief marketing officer of fashion brand PrettyLittleThing named Nicki Capstick, has been reported to have left the business. Following the departure of PrettyLittleThing founder Umar Kamani, Capstick initially assumed the position of CMO in July 2023, as part of a series of leadership changes.
But before this, Capstick had been a member of the marketing team of the Boohoo-owned business since 2011. Over the years, he had held positions with progressively more responsibility, such as marketing director in 2020 and head of marketing in 2017.
Capstick additionally assumed co-CEO responsibilities alongside Tom Binns, who had been appointed chief operating officer, in addition to being promoted to CMO. Kamani rejoined the company after an 18-month hiatus, and Capstick’s departure now occurs months later.
Concerned that PrettyLittleThing had lost touch with the customer, Kamani, the former CEO, was encouraged to take over and lead the company in the announcement.
Although Kamani would not disclose his position, he did say that the transfer represented an “exciting next chapter” for the business.
