Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats have done it again.
After Tuesday’s painful setback to the Clemson Tigers, the Wildcats found themselves trailing 50-34 at halftime in Saturday’s clash with the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Then, history happened.
Kentucky used a 16-2 run to get right back into the game, and both teams would battle to a 79-all tie through regulation, leading to overtime in Seattle.
Thanks to a 7-0 run to open the extra frame, Kentucky was able to pull off a massive 90-89 win over the Zags and remind the college basketball world that this team is for real.
After the big win, head coach Mark Pope, along with super seniors Andrew Carr and Jaxson Robinson, recapped what was a fun night for BBN. Here’s a look at what they had to say via UK Athletics.
