After a remarkable ten-year run, Copenhagen fashion brand Saks Potts has announced it will close its doors in the spring of 2025. 

Founders Cathrine Saks and Barbara Potts, who launched the brand at the ages of 19 and 20, shared the news with their followers on Instagram on Tuesday, reflecting on the extraordinary journey that has brought them both creative and financial success.

“From the very beginning, we have strived to deliver what people didn’t expect, and this decision feels like staying true to exactly that,” the founders stated in their announcement. 

Saks Potts, known for its bold designs and innovative approach to outerwear, has become a global sensation, celebrated for its statement coats and creative collaborations.

Looking ahead, Saks and Potts plan to explore new career opportunities beyond the brand that defined their 20s. “These 10 years have been the best, most fantastic and unforgettable years of our lives. They’ve truly shaped who we are,” they said, expressing their excitement about embarking on the next chapter of their lives.

In the coming months, Saks Potts will focus on concluding sales of its final collection and bidding farewell to the partners, employees, and customers who have been part of its journey. The founders intend to take time to reflect and empower themselves for new adventures as they enter their 30s.
