Quays Culture creates exciting, large scale and high-quality arts and culture events that are always free and open to all, including the annual light art festival, Lightwaves Salford (now in its 11th year) and we play a lead role in delivering the We Invented The Weekend festival.
30 hours per week, £27,456 per annum. Fixed Term ending March 2026 (future funding pending)
We are passionate about celebrating place and people – Quays Culture was set up in 2012 to bring culture to a burgeoning community in Salford Quays. Since then, we have enriched and enlivened the Quays, working with local, national and international artists; we have welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors to experience our work and the places in which it exists.
As Quays Culture Producer you will lead on the logistical and operational elements of the Quays Culture programme, ensuring the efficient and safe delivery of events for visitors, creative partners and stakeholders. The role supports the Head of Programme in curatorial planning, allowing scope to shape how audiences experience our events.
You will be a creative problem solver with a can-do attitude, with experience of project managing large-scale, ambitious public-realm events. You will be confident building and maintaining significant partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders and partners. You will have knowledge and understanding of event budgets, resource planning, health and safety documentation, insurance cover, licensing, and legislation, and you will be able to manage a team. You will have a genuine commitment to making events more sustainable.
The post will be based at The Lowry, but the role currently allows some flexible working from home. You may also be required to work weekends and evenings where required. Please note that this is a fixed term contract until March 2026 (anticipated to be extended, subject to funding) http://www.quaysculture.com/ – www.quaysculture.com
