Retail intelligence platform Narvar announced on Thursday the appointment of Jim Emerich to the role of chief financial officer, effective October 21.
Emerich will spearhead the U.S. firm’s financial strategy and operations, and will report directly to firm’s newly appointed CEO, Anisa Kumar, as the company continues to solidify its position in the post-purchase space.
With more than three decades working in varying financial roles, Emerich has held CFO positions at technology companies such as SymphonyAI, Science Exchange, BrightEdge, Avangate, Appirio, and MuleSoft. He also held key financial leadership roles at Salesforce, where he supported the company’s IPO, as well as at NotifyMe Networks, NBC Internet, LDM Technologies and General Electric.
“Jim Emerich’s extensive experience and deep connection to Narvar make him the perfect choice to lead our financial strategy as we enter our next phase of growth,” said Kumar, who was announced to the role of CEO earlier this month.
“His return comes at a critical time as we continue to innovate and scale our business globally.”
It’s not the first time Emerich has been involved with Narvar. The executive initially worked with the fim in an informal advisory role following the company’s Series A funding round, helping lay the foundation for its early financial structure and growth.
“I’m thrilled to rejoin Narvar at such a pivotal moment,” said Emerich. “The company’s vision for transforming the post-purchase experience, combined with its commitment to innovation powered by AI and data, presents a compelling opportunity. I look forward to helping the company scale sustainably, while delivering unmatched value to Narvar’s retail partners and their customers.”
Narvar currently collaborates with over 1,500 retailers including Levi’s, LVMH, Sephora, and Warby Parker, providing order tracking, returns and customer care services.
