Jet-setters dreaming of sun-soaked beaches, breathtaking views and an endless flow of cocktails might face a rude awakening in Benidorm.
Frank, the TikTok sensation known as @frankthestagman, who keeps his followers in the loop about the goings-on in the beloved party hotspot, has flagged up a potential hiccup for those with travel plans.
On the evening of Monday (October 14), Frank claimed that it’s “not good news” for tourists as the region was battered by severe storms. Despite the chaotic weather, he conceded that “the party goes on”.
In the clip, he said: “All of a sudden, it’s now 10.30pm in the evening, look at this T-shirt, look at this wind. This is Benidorm. This is a definite turn for the weather.”
He then ventured towards the beach to capture the dramatic thunder and lightning, commenting, “look at that”. The footage vividly captures the intensity of the storm that has taken hold of the area.
“The weather has been fantastic all day, as well,” he added. “So, what a way of finishing up a Monday evening here.
“Wow – look at that. That is crazy, isn’t it? The weather has taken a very sudden turn here, which is a shame, because we like when it’s hot. Anyway, it is what it is.”
Later in the video, Frank also revealed the thunder was followed by a lot of rain, and showed how the pavements glistened following a downpour. He admitted it’s “not looking too good right now” when it comes to the weather.
Since he posted the video, it has received hundreds of likes, and viewers were swift to respond. Many confessed they are hoping for an improvement in the weather.
One individual remarked: “Yes, I think there’s storms in Malaga at the moment.” Another responded: “True Frank mate – mental weather, but still warm.”
A third chimed in with: “I would still rather be where you’re standing then here in cold, damp and miserable weather here in Britain.” Meanwhile, a fourth also noted: “We were watching it too… got back to our hotel before the downpour.”
Typically in October, the weather in Benidorm is mild and pleasant. The average high temperature during this month is around 23°C (73°F), while the average low is approximately 14°C (57°F).
Rainfall can be a bit more frequent compared to the summer months, but it is usually not excessive. You can expect a mix of sunny days and some overcast or rainy days.
The Mediterranean Sea remains relatively warm, making it possible to enjoy swimming and other beach activities. However, it’s a good idea to check a local forecast closer to your visit for the most accurate and up-to-date weather information.
While there has been rainfall recently, the current forecast shows that tourists can expect some sunny and cloudy days ahead.
