The hosts enter the match trailing the five-match ODI series 2-0. In the first ODI, England were batting comfortably at 213-2 before being bowled out by Australia spinners for 315 in 49.4 overs. In response, a 129-ball 154 not out from Travis Head sealed the run-chase for the tourists with seven wickets and six overs remaining.
The second fixture was a low-scoring affair. Australia successfully defended 270, courtesy of a strong bowling performance. Mitchell Starc picked 3-50 with support from Josh Hazlewood (2-54), Aaron Hardie (2-26), Glenn Maxwell (2-15) and Adam Zampa (1-42).

It’s a do-or-die game for England, while Australia have a chance to seal the series. However, inclement weather could play a spoilsport.
The match is set to get underway at 12:30 pm local time, and the forecast for the afternoon isn’t promising.
BBC Weather predicts “light rain and a gentle breeze” today. The chance of rain just after the scheduled start hovers between 29 to 46 per cent, with a rise to 64 per cent around 6:00 pm.
As per Accuweather, there are 40 per cent chances of rainfall during the day, with temperatures ranging between 7 and 15 degree Celsius.
Weather.com’s predictions are, however, significantly more optimistic. The probability of precipitation is around 4-16 per cent, with “cloudy” to “partly cloudy” weather.
