The fashion, footwear, and accessories fair continues its steady growth. Held at Ifema Madrid from September 13 to 15, Momad concluded its summer edition with a 5% increase in exhibitors and a 12% rise in the number of represented markets, expanding from 54 to 61 countries worldwide.
Following its February edition, which focused on sectorization and a multi-brand strategy, the Spanish fair welcomed over 300 national and international companies in Hall 8 of the Madrid venue. Notably, there was a strong presence of around 20 Portuguese companies, including Polita, Guimanos, Ana Sousa, Gianni Kavanagh, Scripta, and Funki Project.
In addition to its signature runway shows, the event hosted a variety of initiatives such as talks, round tables, and the Sustainable Experience space, where emerging brands adhering to environmental, social, and economic sustainability standards had the opportunity to present their offerings.
Moreover, once again, the fair organized the Momad Talents by Isem competition, aimed at supporting the business sector, particularly young entrepreneurs. This year’s winning companies were O Mareta, Lele, the Galician textile sector innovation accelerator Via Textil, and the Ego Program, which is designed for brands that have been selling their collections for less than three years.
As usual, the event was held in parallel with the MadridJoya, Bisutex, and Intergift shows, coinciding with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, which took place from September 12 to 16 at the same location. Momad will return to Ifema for its next winter edition from February 4 to 9, 2025.
