Michael Kors has opened a temporary store in London as work on its new UK flagship gets under way.
The temporary location underlines the importance of the central London luxury market to the brand as it’s at 9 Old Bond Street, right in the heart of the UK’s most expensive shopping thoroughfare.
The location is currently housing the Michael Michael Kors, Michael Kors Mens and Michael Kors Collection labels and taking advantage of a strong uptick in footfall to London’s key luxury shopping district.
As for the forthcoming new flagship, that will be at 187-191 Regent Street and is currently under construction. It should open in the summer of 2025. The brand was previously housed at 177-183 Regent Street.
We don’t yet know what the new Regent Street store will look like but earlier this year the company opened a Michael Kors Collection store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, marking the North American debut of a new store concept for the designer’s Collection boutiques so we assume there will be elements of that in the new design.
