French fashion house Mugler has announced the launch of a new documentary, dubbed ‘inside the Dream: Mugler’, set to air exclusively on Canal+ in France on September 25.
Directed by Matthieu Menu and produced by Terminal 9, the 60-minute film delves into the house’s creative journey, celebrating key moments leading up to its 50th anniversary.
The documentary blends never-before-seen archival footage with exclusive behind-the-scenes moments, and features insights from key figures such as Pat Cleveland, Iman Bowie, Paris Hilton, and master perfumer, Olivier Cresp.
Key moments include the making of Mugler’s Angel and Alien fragrance campaigns starring Hunter Schafer and Anok Yai, and Zendaya’s appearance in the chrome robot costume from the Fall/Winter 1995-1996 ‘Cirque d’hiver’ collection at the Dune 2 premiere. It also highlights the making of the Spring/Summer 2024 runway show by fashion creative director, Casey Cadwallader.
“50 years of Mugler is a testament to the power of bold creativity. With Fashion Creative Director Casey Cadwallader, the brand continues to honor Manfred Thierry Mugler‘s transformative legacy and shape the future of fashion and fragrance together, with its iconic designs and groundbreaking innovations,” said Danièle Lahana-Aidenbaum, global brand president Mugler fashion and fragrances.
Mugler has been synonymous with fierce, avant-garde fashion and fragrance, pushing boundaries and shaping pop culture for decades. Rooted deeply in the entertainment world, Mugler is beloved by icons such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Dua Lipa.
