A speed bump outside a Northern Ireland shopping complex has been lowered following complaints from customers.
The speed bump at the Boulevard near Banbridge was deemed too high and was proving a nightmare for drivers.
Many vented their frustrations at the speed bump, which was only installed recently.
One customer described it online as “horrendous”, while another said it was a “lethal ramp” and they thought their tyres were wrecked after driving over it.
Another, however, noted that there is a 20mph speed restriction at the Boulevard and “something really needs to be done to make drivers keep within it”.
“There’s hardly one vehicle keeping to the limit,” they added.
“We need more ramps, cameras and speed traps, in my opinion.”
Local councillor Glenn Barr said he was aware of the concerns over the speed bump and had contacted the Boulevard.
He said: “The reason for the ramp is that they have had several near misses, including a recent incident where a mother with a pram had a close call on the zebra crossing. This change should be happening in the next day or so.”
When contacted by the Belfast Telegraph on Friday, a spokesperson said the speed bump had been lowered.
Situated beside the main A1 Belfast to Dublin road, the Boulevard is a popular outlet shopping destination.
It has a selection of eateries, an eight-screen cinema, and a host of brand names.
