A new scholarship offer is out for the Kentucky Wildcats, and this one is a first.
On Monday, Kentucky issued its first scholarship offer to a class of 2027 recruit, as 5-star small forward Baba Oladotun announced an offer from the Wildcats on Instagram.
The 6-foot-8, 165-pound Oladotun is ranked as high as first overall in 2027 by ESPN, while On3 has him slotted sixth. Rivals and 247 Sports don’t have an evaluation on him yet. He plays at James Hubert Blake High School in Maryland.
You know a recruit is big time when blue bloods are offering him three years before he’s set to be on a college campus, and Kentucky is far from the only major program to offer Oladotun. Among the other schools that’ve offered include Texas, UCLA, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Indiana, Michigan, USC, Louisville, Cincinnati, Ole Miss, Florida State, and Virginia Tech.
Gotta love seeing Mark Pope build these bridges early in the recruitments of future recruits.
