York’s Jobs Fair returns this month and any resident looking for work or support into training or employment is warmly invited to it.
Drop in at the Railway Institute’s Sports Centre, Queen Street, York YO24 1AD, any time from 11.00am to 2.00pm on Tuesday 17 September.
Funded by City of York Council and organised by York Learning in partnership with Job Centre Plus, this job fair is expecting over 60 employers, training providers and job agencies. They include:
There will be opportunities for interviews and jobs are expected to be offered on the day, so please come prepared with photo ID and proof of your address.

Cllr Pete Kilbane, Executive Member for Economy and Culture, said:
Our Jobs Fair held in March this year had 1,000 visitors and 59 employers and training organisations. We’re expecting to better that on 17 September so please come along.
“At this next Jobs Fair, you can find out about upskilling or getting training, as well as updating your CV or brushing up interview skills. With that preparation in hand, job seekers can meet the organisations and businesses who have vacancies to fill – some with immediate starts, so come prepared for interviews and job offers!”
