Liverpool are close to agreeing a deal to sign Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.
Though a deal is yet to be finalised, the Reds hope to agree a fee in the region of €13m (£10.9m) for the Italy international.
Chiesa, 26, could undergo a medical with Liverpool in the coming days and if all goes to plan he would become Arne Slot’s first signing at the club.
Speaking to Italian network Sportitalia, external outside an airport on Wednesday, Chiesa told reporters he was “ready for this new adventure”.
Chiesa was a star of his country’s Euro 2021-winning squad that beat England 2-1 in the final at Wembley.
He scored 32 goals in 131 appearances for Juventus, including 10 goals in 37 matches last season.
However, newly-appointed Juventus boss Thiago Motta has left Chiesa out of his first two matchday squads this season.
Liverpool also hope to complete a move for Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili before the transfer window closes on Friday.
