FKA Twigs
Nailing trans-seasonal style for August in New York, FKA Twigs went hell for leather in a brown bustier corset top and towering platform thigh-high boots with a statement square toe. She paired the ‘fit with a coordinating thong that was clearly seen through her sheer micro shorts. As if her ensemble wasn’t already attention-grabbing, she toted a clutch bag that appeared to be made of hair, the silky brown fringing blowing in the city breeze as she strutted her stuff down the side walk.

Hailey Bieber

Hailey Bieber is no stranger to a pair of micro shorts or two – just scroll down to see what we mean. But, for her latest outing in the controversial trend, the wife of Justin Bieber donned her tiniest yet.
Giving moto-chic on top in an oversized black biker jacket, Hailey added black knicker shorts over sheer tights with black patent sling-back heels completing the look. The moody colour palette of her ensemble perfectly completed her recently-dyed dark brunette hair. Yep, all in all, we LOVE.

Emily Ratajkowski

The AW24 edition of New York Fashion Week has officially begun, and what better way to celebrate than by wearing a pair of micro-shorts so tiny they’re basically just pants?! That seems to have been Emily Ratajkowski’s thought process, at least, when deciding what to wear to attend the Puma show in NYC last night (8 February 2024).
The model’s sporty-chic ‘fit was made up of black micro-shorts layered with a black longline top zipped all the way down to show a hint of cleavage – as well as up to reveal her tiny bottoms peeking out from underneath. Em finished the look with a pair of bright red Puma trainers, tapping into the “pop of red” trend too. Nailed it!

Sydney Sweeney
Here to prove that the micro shorts trend of last summer is still *very much* in style for 2024, Sydney Sweeney just posted a pic of herself quite literally hangin’ out in some of the teeniest bottoms we’ve ever seen. The Euphoria star rocked a full Miu Miu look for her tree-top photoshoot (natch), so it was only right that she fully embraced the pants-as-trousers aesthetic for the occasion – it was the Italian brand that started it, after all!
Syd looked cute, cosy and chic AF in a green logo-ed short sleeve jumper, micro shorts resembling men’s tightie whities and grey knitted socks, that she paired with two of Miu Miu’s signature matelassé gold handbags. If this is the level of fashion Sydney serves for hanging out in her garden, we cannot *wait* to see what she serves come Awards Season…

Hailey Bieber
To promote her brand Rhode’s latest strawberry glaze peptide lip treatment, Hailey Bieber repped the celebrity-favourite micro-shorts trend – and looked truly epic while she was at it, as always.
The model stunned in a pair of teeeeeny tiny denim shorts that are so small we can’t quite decide if they’re better categorised as pants, TBH. To complete the look, Hailey wore a bright red leather jacket on top featuring a *very* deep plunging neckline, with just a lil denim bra underneath. A totally normal outfit to wear while picking up a dozen Krispy Kremes, right?!

Sophie Turner
Sophie Turner shared a micro shorts lewk to her Insta feed recently, and it’s surprisingly *very* relatable. The Game of Thrones star can be seen posing in what looks like a pair of cute lil PJs, rocking some tiny high-waisted boy shorts, a cropped sheer tee and her hair in plaits – topped off with a fab Louis Vuitton handbag for some extra glam. Comfy and chic! Now that’s something we can get on board with.

Olivia Neill
Ibiza is the perfect place to try out the micro shorts trend, as Olivia Neill knows all too well. The star recently shared some pics of herself wearing possibly the *tiniest* bottoms we’ve ever seen, made of trendy black crinkle fabric and featuring a super low waist. It’s giving Y2K festival chic, that’s right on brand for the boho isle but would work equally as well at any UK festi too.

Trust Em Rata to bring back the iconic Daisy Dukes in the midst of a global jorts obsession. The model’s low-key yet super sexy look is a great starting point for those who want to dip their toe into the trend. Opt for high-waisted denim shorts with a mini hemline and exposed pockets, paired with a casual black tank, bronzed limbs and white trainers. Huge dog attached to your belt, optional.

Zendaya

Head-to-toe animal print is a BIG look in itself, and even more so in the case of Zendaya who’s added micro shorts, knee-high boots and a bra to boot. Go bold or go home, we say!

Camille Charrière
Micro-mini shorts have come for the sports casual aesthetic, too. Fashion influencer Camille Charrière does it best, contrasting her pair of bright blue adidas sports shorts with a white tank, oversized shirt, white socks and Sambas. We’ll be copying this look down to a T for chilled weekend walks and brunch outings.

Hailey Bieber
Micro-mini shorts aren’t limited to jersey and denim materials, as exemplified by Hailey Bieber’s teeny lil leather pair. The model and Rhode founder has kept things elegant by adding sheer black tights, a nude bodysuit and an oversized camel coat – cleverly achieving the naked-y look without actually exposing any skin at all.

Em Rata recently recreated one of Princess Diana’s most iconic looks – and we haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since, TBH. The combo of tiny cycling shorts with an oversized sports jumper is a classic for a reason, and even more so now given the micro short’s return. Just add oversized sunnies and a take-away coffee for ultimate (hungover) cool-girl weekend vibes.

Only Kendall Jenner would turn her loungewear into an opportunity to tick off some of the season’s biggest trends – micro-shorts included, obvs! The model almost broke the internet when she posted this pic of herself wearing an itsy bitsy shorts set while chilling at home, that was tiny enough to show off her toned legs and abs. The best part, though? Kenny’s two-piece is from Skims, so you can easily copy her exact look without breaking the bank.
