Fresh dog food brand Butternut Box has signed a multi-year partnership with the lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the national governing body of tennis in Britain.
Butternut Box will now be an official partner of the LTA, which will provide on-court branding and engagement opportunities at LTA tournaments such as Queen’s, the Nottingham Open, Birmingham Classic, and Eastbourne International.
The agreement marks the first time a dog food brand has sponsored British tennis, and the two organisations will also collaborate closely to explore solutions to support the LTA’s environmental sustainability plan. Butternut Box will also give specific support for visually impaired tennis in Britain, creating new content to promote engagement and accessibility.
Butternut Box co-founder David Nolan said: “We are incredibly proud to partner with the LTA and support their mission of promoting a healthy lifestyle. As a company dedicated to delivering fresh, healthy food to dogs everywhere, this partnership was an opportunity we couldn’t let slip through the net!
“We hope this partnership will support a more sustainable future for British tennis whilst also enabling us to reach more pet parents to spread the word about the benefits of fresh nutrition for dogs.”
Chris Pollard, md of commercial & operations at the LTA, added: “The opportunity to work with Butternut Box gave us no paws for thought, and we look forward to bringing the partnership to life across a number of key areas of LTA activity.
“With Butternut Box we are continuing to diversify our commercial relationships as part of our strategy to open up tennis in Britain.”
