French Connection continues to pick the outlet store retail route for its physical expansion, adding Clarks Village Outlet in Somerset and Livingstone Designer Outlet in Scotland to its three so far this year, and the first openings in six years.
Last month, it also announced the biggest yet, a 1,766 sq ft store and its first outlet location at the Icon Outlet at The O2 in London.
The Somerset outlet store measures 860 sq ft and is located in the Apple Court section, showcasing contemporary clothing, accessories and homewares. Guests will find exclusive-to-outlet collections and further discounted prices throughout the year.
It’s one of eight new launches and refits at Clarks Village so far this year, joining a new Rituals beauty, Moss menswear alongside luggage and accessories brand Samsonite, “with more openings set for the summer”, the operator said.
Chris Davis, Clarks Village Centre director, added: “French Connection… enhances our fashion collection here [in a] modern, sleek store [that] is a welcome addition to the outlet.”
He added that those further openings this summer includes “a very special announcement for this summer.”
Meanwhile, the Livingstone outlet mall, which is the largest in Scotland, will be a similar store size and offer for French Connection.
Simon Donoghue, Head of Retail for the brand, said the Livingstone opening “marks a significant milestone for us. This prime location enables us to engage with a vibrant community while continuing our dedication to an exceptional shopping experience.”
