Rabanne announced on Monday the appointment of Troye Sivan to the role of global makeup brand ambassador, just one year after the French maison launched its first beauty collection.
The Grammy award-nominated artist will make his debut as a Rabanne global makeup ambassador in a new campaign for the Nudes: a next-gen beauty collection inspired by the Parisian marque’s fashion fabrics, captured in makeup textures that perfect the skin, according to a press release.
The campaign shot by Louise and Maria Thornfeldt sees Sivan appear in a makeup look created by Rabanne beauty creative director, Diane Kendal.
“I’ve always been attracted to Rabanne’s effortless vibe. I love to play and express myself, and I have actively worked over the years to unlearn any restrictions I put on myself when it comes to fashion and beauty. Something about Rabanne just feels very right to me personally, and their approach to fashion and beauty is aligned with mine,” said Sivan, who wore Rabanne in his ‘Rush’ video, and appeared at the SS24 Rabanne show wearing the brand’s new season designs and makeup.
With a combined social audience of 39 million, Sivan, a singer and actor, has established himself as a global icon in the worlds of music, fashion and LGBTQIA+ representation. Along with roles in several Hollywood feature films, the star has also worked on several high fashion collaborations and appeared on runways around the world.
Rabanne, formerly known as Paco Rabanne, is owned by Spanish beauty and luxury fashion firm, Puig. In its most recent trading update, Barcelona-based Puig saw net revenues grow 10.1% in the first quarter of 2024 from the year before, exceeding the overall growth of the wider premium beauty market.
