Swarovski has opened a new store in London’s Canary Wharf with 1,569 square feet of space at Unit 40, Jubilee Place. It carries the Austrian brand’s full line-up of jewellery and accessories.
Canary Wharf has been transformed in recent decades from a part of London that was all about high-rise offices but little else into a thriving retail destination with more than 120 stores across five shopping malls.
With full-height glazed shop frontages, Jubilee Place is home to premium brands such as Claudie Pierlot, COS, LK Bennett and Maje.
Swarovski worked with Newmark Retail, an advisor to retail and leisure occupiers, to secure the site.
Amanda O’Flaherty, Director at Newmark Retail UK & EMEA, said:“After having much success working alongside Swarovski in the past, we are delighted to be working with the brand again to assist further its growth within London. The new 10-year lease in Canary Wharf is the perfect space to attract its core clientele.”
And she added that the company is continuing to develop “plans for new stores to help Swarovski grow throughout the capital”.
Swarovski, which saw sales rising 4% last year, has been expanding in key locations and just a couple of months ago opened its Milanese flagship store, the first of its kind in Italy, adding to flagships it opened last autumn on New York’s Fifth Avenue and at Dosan Park in Seoul.
