Bottega Veneta has promoted Thierry Conrad Reutenauer to the post of global communications director. In a press release, the Kering-owned luxury label said Reutenauer will start in his new role on June 20.
Reutenauer, 37, joined Bottega Veneta in April 2020. In his new role, he will report to Samuel Diep, who was named chief merchandising and marketing officer of the Kering-owned label in June 2023.
Reutenauer’s first posting at Bottega Veneta was senior PR manager, under Creative Director Daniel Lee. He then took charge of the label’s global PR in September 2020. Following Lee’s departure, and the appointment of new Creative Director Matthieu Blazy, Reutenauer has taken charge of PR and communication for Bottega Veneta worldwide.
A graduate in media, corporate communications & institutional affairs from the applied sciences university in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Reutenauer started his career at the Karla Otto agency in Paris.
Before joining Bottega Veneta, he worked for Parisian label Chloé as head of PR, events and celebrity relations from 2014 to 2020, under creative directors Clare Waight Keller and Natacha Ramsay-Levi.
Since September 2019, Bottega Veneta is led by CEO Bartolomeo Rongone, who took over from Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, who had joined the label in September 2016.
Bottega Veneta is owned by French luxury group Kering, which in 2023 reported a consolidated revenue of €19.6 billion (down 4% over the previous year), and a net income of €2.98 billion.
