At the end of last week, Jupiter entered Gemini. The planet of growth and generosity spends roughly a year at a time in each sign, and the past 12 months it’s been parked in stubborn, dependable Taurus. While Jupiter in Taurus rewarded determination, with this shift you’re more likely to find good fortune through curiosity and adaptability. By staying open-minded and following your interests where they lead you (however random or unproductive they may seem), you’ll end up precisely where you need to be. In the meantime, find the weekly horoscope for each zodiac sign below.
You struggle sometimes to sit still — you have too much fire for that. There are dreams to chase, plans to set in motion, ideas to express. But while this week is likely to be an active and social time, it might not be productive. Remember that you don’t always need to use your energy to get things done. It can be enough to learn, to engage with other people, to enjoy yourself. Don’t worry about what you are or aren’t achieving. Play, not work, is the best way to find satisfaction for now.
It’s difficult to be generous when you’re anxious about getting your own needs met. When you barely have a moment to do what you enjoy, you’re unlikely to lend your time to someone else; when your own resources are limited, it’s hard to want to share. Still, try to give what you can to the people in your life this week. Generosity will pay off even more than usual. It’ll open doors, strengthen important relationships and forge new ones, make the world softer and your life easier. Share what you can, and you’ll be glad you did.
While overconfidence can be dangerous, you’ve probably had the opposite problem. You’ve felt uncharacteristically nervous about making the wrong move, disappointing the people you love, or simply wasting your time. Now, at last, your faith in yourself will come back. You’ve been learning, collecting experiences, getting stronger, and you can finally feel how much you’ve grown. Don’t worry so much about mistakes — it’s inevitable you’ll make some, and it won’t be the end of the world. When you make decisions based in confidence, not fear, you won’t go wrong.
The more conscious you are of the fact that your time on earth is limited, the more pressure you feel to make something of yourself, to achieve your dreams, to change the world right now. But the worst thing you could do this week is rush. This is a time for exploring and wandering, for staying open to new experiences. Don’t try to force things or assume you know what shape your life is “supposed” to take. The universe is too unpredictable for that. Let your story unfold at its own pace.
Like most people, you long to be special in some way. You want to be the first, the most, the best. Sometimes, though, all this striving gets exhausting — and even if you do make it to the top of your field, it’s unlikely to be as fulfilling as you’d hoped. Take a break from trying so hard to be exceptional. It’s enough to simply live a full and interesting life right now. Being a star won’t make you happy this week, but being a human being surrounded by your community will.
If you’re going to do something, you want to do it well. This applies equally to your job, your hobbies, your relationships — you’re not one to slack or cut corners. You care about getting even the smallest details right. It’s an admirable trait, but sometimes it can hold you back. Let your imagination go wild; try out ideas and methods that might not end up working. For now, release yourself from the expectation that you do things right. Better to make interesting mistakes than to do nothing for fear of making mistakes at all.
There are plenty of times when it makes sense to remain in your comfort zone, to opt for what is familiar (if imperfect) rather than venture into the unknown. This week isn’t one of them. Playing it too safe is only going to lead to disappointment right now. Taking risks might not lead exactly to the outcome you hope for, but it’ll open new doors and expand your life in ways you didn’t realize you needed. Don’t take the boring option just because it’s easy. Bet big on yourself and your dreams.
No matter how much you know, intellectually, that you’re capable and well liked, you don’t always feel that way. In daily life, you still sometimes feel nervous, left out, ill-equipped to deal with the problems coming your way. But your self-doubt takes a back seat this week. It gets easier to trust in yourself, to have genuine faith that you’re enough. You’re powerful and talented and filled with hard-won wisdom about yourself and the world. You’ve got all the tools you need; all you have to do is use them.
Even if your social calendar is booked and you’re surrounded by people who care about you, sometimes you get lonely. Everybody does. Maybe you feel misunderstood; maybe your relationships aren’t as deep as you’d like; maybe the people you love most are dealing with problems of their own. This week, it’ll be easier to find the intimacy you’ve been missing. Important new people may enter your life, or tensions with an old friend might finally soften. Try to let your walls come down at least a little bit. If you stay open to love, it’ll find you.
Although it may go against your very nature, you’ll do well not to plan quite so far into the future this week. Long-term thinking can be strategic, but it can also make it harder to be present in the day-to-day. Not everything needs to last forever or tie into your grand ambitions. You deserve the freedom to try out new routines without worrying about whether you can sustain them, to take on interesting new projects without stressing out over how they’ll fit into your five-year plan. Trust that the pieces will come together over time.
When you’re stuck in a rut (at work, in your love life, or in a more nebulous, existential way), it can take a few tries to break free of it. The first attempt might not work … or the second, or even the third. It’s easy to give up, to imagine that you’re cursed to be bored and dissatisfied forever, but that isn’t true. The more you try out different ideas, meet new people, wander down paths just to see where they lead, the closer you’ll get to the life you want. You’re almost there. You just have to keep going.
Lately, you’ve felt cast adrift. Perhaps your life has gone through a dramatic upheaval, your network of support has changed, or the transformation has been internal. Whatever the case, you’ve been left unsure about where you belong or what your purpose really is. Now, your job is to figure out who you are — and, more important, who you want to be — in this different landscape. Reinvent yourself, leave behind old baggage, and find support in new and surprising places. Life keeps changing, but you can find love and happiness wherever you land.
