Schott NYC is making a comeback in the UK for AW24. After a three-year absence, citing Brexit as the reason for its departure, The New York brand makes its return via PR agency Rich London and sales agency Kippered “to regain visibility on the UK fashion retailer and consumer’s radar”.
Best known for its classic bombers, bikers and leathers, the new AW24 season “with 90s trends still calling”, sees the brand’s classic ‘CWU’ bombers (with velcro patch) returning, released in the original fit, as well as heavily badged and branded leathers taking centre stage.
Seventies’ suede and leather feature in earthy tones with contrasting solid retro colours throughout the men’s and women’s collections.
The premium ‘Made in the USA’ collection includes key items such as the ‘Perfecto’ Biker jacket, the ‘LC Varsity & B-3’ shearling flight jacket and its best-selling-in-Europe ‘Nebraska’ colourful puffers.
“In line with the current success of the brand globally” Kippered has “segmented and tiered this wide offering to cater for all aspects of the UK market as well as planning several exciting collaborations and partnerships TBA,” we’re told.
Bruno Dauman, of European licensee Group JAJ, said: “Schott has played a big part in many areas of fashion and youth culture all over the world but the UK is very special to Schott and we feel that now is the perfect time to return with a strong UK team in place.
“I’m confident [Rich London’s and Kippered’s] shared passion for Schott NYC, along with their trusted network in the UK market will drive the success and re-launch of the brand in the UK this AW24.”
