While Ryanair may be known for its something jaw-droopingly low prices, with flights under £20 in many cases, what it isn’t known for is a forgiving luggage allowance. In fact, one of the ways passengers are often caught out is by bringing a bag which exceeds the airline’s strict hand luggage policy.
However, shoppers are applauding a travel bag from Primark that fits Ryanair’s luggage allowance and won’t break the bank.
The quilted underseat cabin bag is described by Primark as being “perfect for short trips”. Primark said: “Whether it’s a last-minute trip or a planned getaway, let our black quilted underseat cabin bag hold all you need for a short stay away.
“Featuring a main zipped compartment for clothes, shoes and tech, it also has side zipped pockets — handy to whip out toiletries or chargers on the go.
“The two padded carry handles make for comfortable transportation, in hand or over the shoulder. Pack now, thank us later.”
Measuring 25cm x 40cm x 20cm, the bag meets the exact specifications set out by Ryanair for a small, free item of hand luggage. All Ryanair fares include a small personal bag measuring these dimensions, however, anything which exceeds the measurements will incur a fee at the airport.
And if you’re worried about spending too much, the Ryanair bag is available for a purse-friendly £12. You can pick up one of the quilted underseat cabin bags in-store or order it for click-and-collect at participating Primark locations.
The bag has gone viral on social media over the last few weeks, with shoppers describing it as “perfect” and “spacious”.
Sharing a video to TikTok, a creator named Laura urged Ryanair passengers to “run don’t walk to Primark”.
“I need to show you something,” she told followers in a video she posted to her TikTok page.
“I just got the perfect hand luggage bag from Primark. It has the exact Ryanair measurements for your hand luggage but it’s still quite spacious and it can really fit a lot of stuff.
“I really needed to get it. I feel like it’s perfect. It also comes with a long handle. I can’t wait to go on the first trip with it.”
