British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has condemned Iran’s drone strike against Israel in the strongest terms.
In a statement, he called it a “reckless attack” and said, “Iran has once again demonstrated that it is intent on sowing chaos in its own backyard.”
He added that “the UK will continue to stand up for Israel’s security and that of all our regional partners, including Jordan and Iraq.”
Sunak went on to say that they are urgently working to stabilize the situation and prevent further escalation.
Posting to a social media, the European Union’s foreign policy chief said, “The EU strongly condemns the unacceptable Iranian attack against Israel.”
Josep Borrell added that “This is an unprecedented escalation and a grave threat to regional security.”
