Company Store is selling patties from the McDonalds classic sandwich the McRib – with shoppers “racing” to fill their basket with 10 patties for £2.50. On the McDonalds website, the sandwich is described as: “Seasoned boneless pork dipped in a tangy BBQ sauce, topped with slivered onions and tangy pickles, all served on a toasted homestyle bun.”
The Company Shop is a UK-based supermarket chain that sells surplus items from brands like McDonald’s at discounted prices. The Company Shop buys excess stock from manufacturers when they produce more than they need.

After McDonald’s brought the sandwich back last year, a Reddit user said: “What they should really do is have “guest” dishes from other restaurants worldwide. I’ve had a mcarabia and really liked it. I know there’s Japanese only menu items and Same in India. I would totally go in there for those.”
“TBH, grab one of the Microwave ones from Tesco (Rustler?) Add some raw onion, and a bit more sauce, and I think they are better,” a second agreed. Another said: “Firstly, it’s more expensive than it used to be. It’s £4.49 by itself, but I chose the large meal option which was £7.29. The last time I had it, it was about £2.50.
“Next, it still tastes good and the BBQ sauce is delicious, but the pork patty itself tastes different to how I remember. It didn’t have the same chargrilled taste, and to be honest it smelled a bit weird. There were only 2 gherkins and a few onions on it too.
“And lastly, it was smaller to how I remember it being 10+ years ago. I finished it off in a few bites, and I was still hungry after I’d finished the meal.
“Edit, it was actually £4.79 at my local McDonald’s when I bought it earlier today, but apparently it’s going for £4.49 in other parts of the country.”
