Sunday Headlines: On to Oklahoma Edition

Well, yesterday did not go well for the Kentucky Wildcats.

The Cats started off strong, even leading by 12 a little over halfway through the first half, but the Tide put things together and led by seven at the half.

Kentucky cut the lead to 3 in the second half but never could quite get over the hump as the Tide picked up the win in Tuscaloosa.

But it’s time to put that game in the rearview, as Kentucky has a chance to get another road win on Wednesday in Norman against the Oklahoma Sooners.

After starting the season 13-0, which included wins over Arizona, Louisville, and Michigan, the Sooners have struggled in conference play with a 4-10 mark in SEC play. However, the Sooners are coming off a big win yesterday, defeating Mississippi State 93-87. Freshman Jeremiah Fears was big for the Sooners, finishing with 27 points and 10 assists in the win over Mississippi State yesterday.

With just four games left in the regular season, Kentucky really needs to at least go 2-2 in these final games, and winning at Oklahoma would be a huge piece of that.
