Alexa Chung is set to launch her second collection with Barbour. The Edit By Alexa, which first launched in autumn/winter 2024, releases its second collection today – a capsule of jackets, knitwear and shoes that are inspired by the nostalgia of camping and Chung’s unparalleled festival style.
“I’m in love with the second collection I have designed for Barbour,” Chung said. “I think the codes and language we have built together are now well established in that we create playful takes on Barbour’s heritage.”
Highlights from the second collection include a classic trench, a bright yellow rain jacket, a knitted cardigan and a pair of burgundy clogs, all of which she has styled in her trademark aesthetic in the Tim Walker-shot campaign.
Chung has long been aligned with Barbour, having worn and worked with the brand for many years, while her reputation for excellent festival style makes her a perfect fit for this particular summer drop, and will no doubt be high on many Glastonbury goer’s wish lists.
“My particular favourites in the collection are the bright yellow jacket and fire engine red raincoat,” she adds. “I really focused on colour and fun and I think that idea carried through to our camping trip themed shoot, with the legendary Tim Walker. This collection brings me so much joy and I hope you like it as much as I do.”
Barbour is making something of a habit of high-fashion collaborations that celebrate its heritage in new and unique ways. Just this winter, the brand released its third collection with Danish powerhouse Ganni, and its second with London Fashion Week favourite Erdem, both of which have proved extremely popular.
