An investigation by The Observer has revealed that some UK gambling websites are automatically collecting and sharing user data with Facebook without explicit consent. 

In an experiment, the Observer team visited 150 licensed gambling sites while deliberately not clicking “agree” on any cookie consent prompts. The testing showed that nearly one-third of these sites triggered a tracking tool known as Meta Pixel the moment a page loaded.
