Manchester United take on Crystal Palace this weekend but UK-based fans won’t be able to tune in.

The Red Devils narrowly beat Fulham 1-0 in their last Premier League match, with Lisandro Martinez scoring their only shot on target.

It was a far from convincing display by Ruben Amorim‘s side, but in the position they are in, three points is all that matters.

With just 15 games of the season remaining, Man United are stuck in midtable and have almost no chance of making any form of European football, barring an incredible end to the campaign.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have picked up over the last couple of months.

Since the start of December, they’ve only lost to Arsenal and Brentford.

Both of those were at home, while they’ve won their last two on the road.

Why is Manchester United vs Crystal Palace not on TV?

This Premier League fixture wasn’t picked for TV broadcast, which means it won’t be shown in the UK despite starting at 2pm.

This is because it was initially scheduled for Saturday, February 1 with a 3pm kick-off.

Plus, Brentford versus Tottenham and Arsenal’s home game against Manchester City have been selected by Sky Sports.

So because it wasn’t picked in the initial round of broadcast selections, it can’t be screened.

The game has been moved due to Man United’s Europa League commitments.

The Red Devils were in Romania on Thursday night facing FCSB in the final Europa League match of the League Phase.

A 2-0 win sealed their place in the top eight, meaning they don’t have to go through the lottery of the play-offs.

That match meant that this tie against Palace had to be moved to allow Man United players enough time to recover.

Bucharest is three hours ahead of the UK, so the game didn’t start until 11pm local time, and the Red Devils didn’t get back until early Friday morning.

So, even a Sunday 2pm kick-off is leaving Amorim’s men little time to recuperate.
